Covington Buccs Win 2 this weekend

Buccs played at Newton on Friday night. It was a Team Ascend reunion for three of the players on the court. Eric Beckstedt and Jake Bitner of Covington and Cody Jackson of Pleasant Hill grew up playing basketball together. Along with 5 other boys from Tipp City and Dayton, they played with Team Ascend for 4 years. Pictured above is the team picture from that last year they were all together before going to play for their home teams in Junior High. Three of the Tipp City player were in the stands watching there past teammates since they had the night off. Good Luck to all the players, and thank you to the three terrific coaches that helped make these boys be the great young men that they are today.Coach Rex Jackson, Coach Galen Gingerich and Coach Cash.

Buccs beat Newton 39-26

Saturday- Covington played West Milton at home and got thier second victory of the weekend with a score of 66-52.

7th and 8th Basketball

The Buccs played TCN last night. The 7th grade won 33-30,

they made it exciting with a end of the game shot to win.

We had plenty of Spirit at the game! The girls basketball team was there to cheer on the boys.

The eight grade had a BIG win.

If you were out and about this morning you were

one of the lucky ones to view the ice and snow on the trees and landscapes. It was breath taking to

see the sun glistening off of everything. I am glad I grabbed my camera before heading out to run errands.

Varsity Basketball

The Buccs played at home against the New Breman Cardinals on Saturday night. They gave it thier all but it wasn't enough, the game ended 50-59.

JH Basketball Action

After a long break due to the Holidays and bad weather the Buccs JH boys are back on the court.
the seventh grade game ended in a lose for the Buccs....

... but the eight grade won big against a tough Mississinawa Valley team.

High School Basketball Action

The Buccs played TriVillage last night. The JV went into overtime and won with a two point bucket from Brian Hitchcock.



The Varsity ended up 50-54 in favor of the Patriots. The Buccs play home again tonight.

The kids got out of school early so we went sledding at my inlaws.

We finished Kaitie's senior session this weekend. It was cold, but it was a beauitful day for snow pictures.
